Introducing The Top 100 Most Loved Drinks Brands 2021

For the second year running we have summarised the UK’s Top 100 Most Loved Drinks Brands, providing insight into which beverage brands UK adults have the closest emotional connection with.

Our data-rich insights hone in on what it means for a customer to be ‘in love’ with a brand; why it’s important and what drives it.

This report is based on data from BrandVue Drinks, Savanta’s market intelligence platform. Tracking 350 drinks brands, BrandVue examines the UK’s best-known alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshment brands.

Through our extensive, performance based insights and ranking systems, we cover all major categories, including beer, cider, wine (champagne and sparkling wine), spirits, soft drinks, RTDs, hard seltzers, and no/low alcohol drinks. Within the seven main drinks categories we include 29 sub-categories. So, for example, within “beer” we cover lager brands, craft beer brands, and ales. Within “soft drinks” we include carbonates, energy drinks, bottled water brands, juices and mixers.

The consumer insights are based on responses from 48,000 UK adults aged 18-74. Each were interviewed online from January 1st, 2021, until June 30th, 2021. We accumulate over 8000 interviews per month, averaging around 250 per day.

The report provides rich and representative data about the behaviour and attitudes of UK consumers in the first six months of 2021.

The list evaluates the UK’s top drinks brands overall, so beers can be compared with wine and spirit brands. It also compares responses by: region, demographic sub-groups as well as by category and supplier. Our data will highlight the overall winners and losers across each category.

Our data-rich insights hone in on what it means for a customer to be ‘in love’ with a brand; why it’s important and what drives it.
