Survey of UK business decision makers about terrorism insurance.
- Two thirds (65%) of business leaders say that they do not currently have a plan in place for how to respond in the aftermath of a terrorist attack that forces the business to close for a period of time, although a quarter (25%) say that they do.
- Three in five (62%) say that their business does not currently have a specific terrorism insurance policy, whilst one in five (19%) say that they do.
- A third (33%) of those without a specific terrorism policy, say that the main barrier to purchasing such a policy is that the chances of a terrorism insurance policy being enacted are very small. A quarter (25%) say that before today, they did not know that you could buy a terrorism insurance policy.
