A survey of those living in low income households on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic
- A third (33%) of low-income households are now in arrears
- Working age households on low incomes were found to have been particularly hard hit with 44% in arrears
- For households with people aged 18 to 24 this rises to almost three-quarters (71%) of people in arrears

Methodology
Savanta ComRes surveyed 4,193 UK adults aged 18+ in households in the lowest 40% of equivalised household income between 24th September and 5th October 2021. 4,093 were surveyed online and 100 with very low digital skills were surveyed on telephone. Data were weighted to be representative by age, gender, region, ethnicity and housing tenure.
