Survey of London businesses on behalf of the LCCI on the importance of different skills in preparing young people for the workplace.
- When asked to rate the importance of different skills in preparing young people for the workplace, London businesses are most likely to say that basic numeracy (92%) followed by basic IT (91%) are important.
- Foreign language skills are the least likely to be considered important, although over half (55%) continue to identify this as so.

ComRes interviewed 505 London business decision makers online between the 11th May and 8th June 2018. Data were weighted to be representative of all London businesses by company size and broad industry sector. ComRes is a member of the British Polling Council and abides by its rules.
