COMRES/ ITV NEWS POLL: NEARLY HALF OF POPULATION THINK BRITAIN IS POORLY PREPARED FOR THE OLYMPICS
The latest Index poll conducted by ComRes and to be broadcast on ITV News at Ten tonight reveals that nearly half of the population (45%) believe that Britain seems poorly prepared for the Olympics. Two in five (40%) disagree and 15% are not sure.
Furthermore, two in five (39%) think that the Ministry of Defence being asked to provide extra troops to guard Olympic venues makes them concerned about whether spectators will be sufficiently safe at the Games. 45% disagree with this statement and 16% don’t know.
Methodology: ComRes interviewed 2,046 GB adults online from 13th July to 15th July 2012. Data were weighted to be demographically representative of all GB adults. ComRes is a member of the British Polling Council and abides by its rules.
