Survey on the impact of the Menopause on UK Women 50 – 60 Years
• A quarter (25%) of the women who had experienced menopause reported that it had made them want to stay at home… while almost as many (23%) said it had reduced their enjoyment of life
• Amongst those who had experienced the menopause, nearly half (48%) of the women in the younger age group (50-55 years old) told us that their mental health/mood was affected… compared to the just 40% of women aged 56- 60.
• Amongst those who had experienced menopause, and who were working at the time, 70% say they did not make their employer aware that they were experiencing symptoms.
• Just over a third (36%) of those polled who were experiencing menopause symptoms had not visited their GP to talk about it.

Methodology
ComRes interviewed 1,009 women aged 50-60, between 8th December and 18th December 2017. Data were weighted to be nationally representative of UK women aged 50-60 by region.
