- With GCSE results to be released this Thursday, just less than half of people (46%) think that exams are easier today than thirty years ago, whilst a quarter (25%) disagree.

 - However, when it comes to higher grades today than in the past, two thirds of adults (64%) believe that this is because students now have greater access to more information than in the past, for example through the internet

 - More than two in five (45%) say they welcome Ed Miliband’s quietness over the summer as a welcome break from politicians always trying to force their way into the news.

 - One quarter (24%) disagree with the statement that throwing eggs at politicians is never justifiable.

 - More than half (56%) believe the Government is cutting spending too much and too quickly, equalling the highest level since July 2012.
