EXCLUSIVE ITV NEWS TYNE TEES / COMRES POLL:

55% OF TYNE TEES RESIDENTS WANT SUPPORT MORE POWER FOR THE NORTH EAST

Two thirds of Tyne Tees residents say that they do not want Scotland to become an independent country.

Half say that if it did happen, it would have a negative impact on the North East of England.

Opinions are mixed about what effect on the North East a No vote would have in Scotland if it then received more decision making powers.

More than half of Tyne Tees residents think that the North East should have more decision making powers than it currently does.

Methodology Note: ComRes interviewed 510 adults living in the ITV Tyne Tees region online between 4th and 11th September 2014. Data were weighted to be representative of all adults in the region. ComRes is a member of the British Polling Council and abides by its rules.
