New poll reveals rent control is the most popular built environment election pledge.
- The study presented respondents with nine policies relating to the build environment industry; three from the Conservatives, three from Labour, three from the Liberal Democrats.
- Half of the sample saw policies with the party leaders name included (e.g. Boris Johnson’s policy to…). The other half saw the policies unnamed.
- A follow up question asked who respondents would trust the most to build new housing in their area? Private developers, housing associations or local councils.
