A key audience for Unite Students is the postgraduate population. The hypothesis – that Postgraduates are looking for a different type of accommodation experience compared to undergraduates.
Therefore, Unite Students have been developing their proposition to provide an experience that is more tailored specifically to postgraduate needs.
Being so customer-centric, Unite Students always seek to ground developments to their proposition in insight.
We conducted research looking at postgraduate life, to explore accommodation needs and wishes, and to review the various services provided in properties.
Research was designed to be immersive and multi-staged, to enable a deep understanding of what really matters to postgraduates. Key to this was looking at the accommodation experience to understand how postgraduate needs evolve from when they first arrive, to the day that they leave.
Unite Students has used valuable insight from this research to help develop their new proposition for Postgraduate students.
Key to the delivery were critical recommendations which will have maximum impact on building engagement and loyalty.
The insight from this project has been pivotal to the development of this proposition, which we’re now testing in multiple locations across our estate.
