New COVID data shows changing sentiment and behavior of consumers

Across its platform, Savanta’s COVID-19 Tracker has illustrated the complex relationship that the pandemic has played in American behavior across the country. From how comfortable people feel about going back to the office, to vaccination motivations, there has been a clear change in lifestyle due to the pandemic. This month, we decided to run a wave of our tracker and compare it to the last data set which concluded in March 2021. The COVID-19 Tracker has allowed us to observe changes amidst different demographics, including age, race, and gender, and socioeconomic status.

September has shown that people still feel concerned about contracting the COVID-19 virus, even with the majority of Americans vaccinated. With the concern of contracting the virus still relatively high, many are uncomfortable doing standard activities, and especially without wearing a mask.

Of the people who have not yet been vaccinated, there appears to be no real motivation that would encourage them to get the vaccine, with 44% saying that of the motivators given, nothing would entice them to get vaccinated.
