Methodology
The National Eczema Society, in collaboration with LEO Pharma, surveyed 524 parents of children (aged 0–16) with eczema and 530 adults with eczema in the UK. Surveys were conducted online between 12 June and 11 July 2020. Participants were screened using a proxy for Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI) scores to gather a range of participants from almost clear, mild, moderate, severe and very severe eczema. The EASI scoring system uses a tested calculation to grade the severity of eczema symptoms and the extent different areas of the body have been affected.
