Methodology

Savanta interviewed 1,076 primary school staff online between 28 October – 17 November 2025. Data were weighted to be representative of the population of school staff by gender, region and staff role (teaching staff and non-teaching staff).

Savanta interviewed 1,004 parents of children who started Reception in the 2025 Reception intake online between 15 October – 17 November 2025. Data wereweighted to be representative of gender of child, region, ethnicity of child, and socioeconomic group.
