Introducing The Top 100 Most Loved Financial Services Brands 2021

Our latest BrandVue report reveals the UK's most loved financial services brands, highlighting the risers and fallers compared to 2020, whilst also shining light on the notable success stories.

The consumer insight is drawn from the opinions of over 72,000 consumers across 220 financial brands

The financial services industry is built on the foundation of trust and, maybe for the first time in a number of years, the sector was seen as one of the ‘good guys’ during the pandemic, reflected in their understanding of customers’ needs and situations.

Our brand new report highlights a shift in consumer attitudes towards more traditional ‘bricks and mortar’ brands, where we’ve seen increases in Brand Love for the likes of Barclays, Lloyds, Halifax, Santander, NatWest, and HSBC.

In the attempt to provide timely assistance and advice to customers facing unprecedented financial challenges, these brands have clearly connected better emotionally with their customers, helping to turn trust into love through stronger engagement.

The consumer insight is drawn from the opinions of over 72,000 consumers across 220 financial brands, through Savanta’s market intelligence platform BrandVue Financial Services: the largest and most comprehensive brand, audience, and customer tracking engine in the market.

We have also compiled a list of the top three category medallists across the following sub-sectors, and look at each of these in more detail throughout the report:

  • Payment platforms
  • Aggregators
  • Banking
  • Neobanks
  • Insurers
  • Credit cards
  • Investment & savings
