Survey of GB adults on behalf of the REC
- Two in five GB adults (39%) say that they have ever worked on a flexible contract (temporary agency worker, contractor or freelancer).
- Of those who have, two in five (42%) did so because they could not find permanent work at the time, over a third (36%) to find work quickly, and over a quarter (28%) to work flexible hours.
- A third of GB adults (32%) would consider working on a flexible contract in future.

Savanta ComRes interviewed 4,082 GB adults online between 7th and 13th August 2019. Data were weighted to be representative of all GB adults. Savanta ComRes is a member of the British Polling Council and abides by its rules.
