Northern Ireland's Business Confidence on the Rise Despite UK Downturn

Sue Lewis VP, Research, Insights, Consulting 27/02/2023

According to Savanta’s MarketVue Business Confidence Index for Northern Ireland, business confidence improved marginally in Q4 2022, from 32 in Q3 to 33. This trend is opposite to what we have seen in Great Britain where confidence continued to fall.

It will be interesting to see if this positivity continues at Q1 2023 and whether the difference in NI and GB sentiment widens or converges.

The survey was conducted between September and December 2022 and included 415 NI businesses of various sizes. A downloadable infographic is available for a snapshot of the results, dating back to the beginning of 2021.
