REC Article 50 Survey

Survey of 201 UK employees and owners involved in hiring on the impact of triggering Article 50.

Two in five (42%) of those involved in recruitment surveyed believe that formally notifying the EU of the UK’s intention to withdraw will make delays in business investment and hiring decisions ‘more likely’. 12% believe delays will become ‘less likely’, whilst 38% say that triggering Article 50 will have ‘no impact’ on hiring.

Methodology

ComRes interviewed 201 UK employees and owners involved in hiring by telephone between October 27th and November 22nd 2016. Data were weighted to be representative of UK adults in employment by region, broad industry sector and public / private split.
