Survey of 130 MPs on behalf of Heathrow on their views towards airport expansion, major infrastructure projects in the UK, and the potential benefits of each
The latest ComRes MPs poll on behalf of Heathrow shows high levels of support for the expansion of the airport, and rank the airport first as the infrastructure project most likely to benefit the UK economy long-term or benefit all regions of the UK, of the options listed.
- Three quarters of MPs say they support a third runway at Heathrow (74%)
- MPs are most likely to rank Heathrow first as the project that will bring the most long-term benefit to the UK economy (57%).
- MPs are most likely to rank Heathrow first as the project that will benefit all regions across the UK (43%).

Methodology
ComRes interviewed 130 MPs online and by paper self-completion questionnaire between 4th October and 18th November 2016. Data were weighted to reflect the exact composition of the House of Commons in terms of party representation and regional constituency distribution.
