Survey of British adults on behalf of the Charities Aid Foundation on Giving Tuesday, the international day of giving.
Across Britain, 13% said they head heard about #givingtuesday this year- up from 9% last year and 5% in the campaign’s first year. Just under one in ten (9%) Britons took part.
Among those aware of #givingtuesday, one in three (33%) said they would do something for charity in future as a result of the campaign and 28% said it had made them aware of charities they hadn’t heard of previously. About one in six (16%) said the day had prompted them to do something they wouldn’t usually do for charity.

Methodology
ComRes interviewed 2032 GB adults aged 18+ between 30th November and 1st December 2016. Data were weighted by age, gender, region and socio-economic grade to be representative of all GB adults.
