The Second Rise of DE&I

Savanta hosted a webinar, speaking to three clients in the space about the innate problems that stem from systemic biases, how we can further tackle and support DE&I strategy across the business, particularly intersectionality, and what role they play in challenging their industry.

The landscape of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) underwent a significant shift this past year. There was a noted lack of incentive for organizations to continue their DE&I initiatives, often due to the lack of tangible metrics to measure the success of these programs, leading to a perception of DE&I as a ‘nice-to-have’ rather than a ‘must-have’.

Alternatively, some organizations, in spite of the hurdles that await their leaders, who relied on solid strategies surrounding DE&I historically, have continued to lead in the space for diverse voices to prevail.

A wide range of socio-economic and political factors contribute to ongoing transformation, challenging organizations across industries to redefine and reshape their DE&I initiatives. However, the focus remains on DE&I strategy as a lynchpin for business growth, innovation, and engagement.

And against the global backdrop, DE&I research can play a pivotal role in creating authentic, inclusive cultures that permeate every aspect of a business, industry, and entire market.

We know that having diverse teams equates to bringing up diverse perspectives, which in turn means building better products and services for a larger and more diverse group of people. So, Savanta decided to speak to three clients in the space about the innate problems that stem from systemic biases, how we can further tackle and support DE&I strategy across the business, particularly intersectionality, and what role they play in challenging their industry.

The moment has passed to sign up, but don’t miss out on hearing key themes, issues, and commentary amongst our panelists. Watch our full video HERE.

Hosted by Sadia Corey, bringing 18+ years of client development expertise in global market research. Our three speakers include:

  • Brittany Grant, a seasoned market research professional, leading cross-platform brand growth at Andscape.
  • Helena Brown, a Grammy award-winning operatic soprano and Vice President for Choristers, Actors, and Staff Performers at the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA).
  • Alicia Cook, Director of Communications at AGMA, who ensures timely, transparent, inclusive, and innovative communications.

While significant leaps have been made towards diversity and inclusion, the journey is far from over. The challenge now lies in maintaining the momentum, ensuring that DE&I remains at the forefront of our organizational strategies, and creating workplaces that genuinely value and champion diversity, equity, and inclusion.
