  • Savanta ComRes’ latest voting intention shows Conservatives in the lead with 36% of the vote, leading the Labour Party by eight percentage points (36% vs. 28%).
  • Three quarters (76%) of those who voted Conservative in the 2017 election intend to vote Conservative again. Whilst one in eight (12%) of those who voted Conservative in 2017 intend to now vote for the Brexit Party.
  • Two thirds (68%) of those who voted Labour in the 2017 election intend to vote Labour again. One in six (16%) of those who voted Labour in 2017 intend to now vote for the Lib Dems.
  • Among the 2016 Leave voters, over half (56%) intend to vote for the Conservatives, while one in five (21%) intend to vote for the Brexit Party.
  • Among the 2016 Remain voters, two in five (41%) intend to vote for Labour, while three in ten (30%) intend to vote for the Libs Dems.
  • If the parties were to achieve these vote shares at a General Election, it would result in Conservatives having a majority of 70 (Con 360, Lab 204, LD 29, SNP 35, Brex 0, PC 3, Grn 1, source: www.electoralcalculus.co.uk)

Methodology

Savanta ComRes interviewed 2,032 British adults from the 30th-31st October 2019. Data were weighted to be demographically representative of all GB adults. All questions were also weighted by 2017 past vote recall and EU Referendum past vote. Voting Intention is also weighted by likelihood to vote. Savanta ComRes is a member of the British Polling Council and abides by its rules.
