Poll of 1064 GB parents about their perceptions of careers in the housebuilding industry.
- A majority of British parents (with children aged under 18) say that good pay and opportunities for progression are in the top three most important factors for their children to have in their careers (both 60%). Half (51%) say the same of ‘doing something worthwhile’.
- Around two in five (38%) GB parents say that they are likely to encourage their offspring to follow a career in the housebuilding industry; while a similar proportion (36%) say that they are not likely to do so.

Methodology
ComRes interviewed 1,064 GB parents of children aged under 18 online between 29th April and 5th May 2016. Data are weighted to be representative of all British adults aged 18+ by age, gender, region and socio-economic grade.
