COMRES/ ITV NEWS POLL: JUST 10% OF POPULATION TRUST BANKERS
The latest Index poll results, conducted by ComRes and to be broadcast on ITV News at Ten tonight, reveals that in light of the recent Libor scandal, bankers are found to be the least trusted profession from a list including politicians and government ministers.
Just one in ten (10%) trust bankers to tell the truth, while four in five (78%) do not and 12% aren’t sure.
Politicians come a close second in the trust stakes - 77% of the population do not trust them to tell the truth and just 10% do.
Methodology: ComRes interviewed 2,013 GB adults online from 29th June to 1st July 2012. Data were weighted to be demographically representative of all GB adults. ComRes is a member of the British Polling Council and abides by its rules.
