BBC School Report Mental Health Survey (Secondary School Teachers)

Survey of UK secondary school teachers on behalf of BBC School Report on mental health.

• Almost a quarter of teachers (23%) would not feel confident referring someone for mental health issues.

• A third of teachers (34%) say they have had no formal training in normal psychological development in adolescence.

• More than half of teachers say they would benefit from help identifying mental health issues (62%), and help providing support (68%).

ComRes interviewed 500 secondary school teachers online between 25^th January and 6^th February 2017.

ComRes interviewed 205 secondary school teachers from schools partnered with BBC school report online between 6^th February and 20^th February 2017.
