Survey of UK secondary school teachers on behalf of BBC School Report on mental health.
- Almost a quarter of teachers (23%) would not feel confident referring someone for mental health issues.
- A third of teachers (34%) say they have had no formal training in normal psychological development in adolescence.
- More than half of teachers say they would benefit from help identifying mental health issues (62%), and help providing support (68%).
