• Two thirds (65%) of the population think reducing human rights in the UK would have a negative impact on the UK’s ability to stand up for human rights globally

• Repealing and replacing the human rights act is only seen as a top 3 priority by just 7% of the population

• Almost three quarters (73%) think it’s important to have the Human Rights Act as a safety net to be able to hold the Government to account when things go wrong such as Hillsborough or the handling of the pandemic

• Over half of people (57%) do not trust the UK Government to decide what their human rights should be
