Cellco Partnership, doing business as Verizon Wireless, is an American telecommunications company which offers wireless products and services.

Verizon Wireless is the largest wireless telecommunications provider in the United States.

The Challenge

With the issue of mobile security gaining prominence in the industry, Verizon wanted a way to ensure they were perceived as a leader in the area. As a result, Savanta was brought in to help publish compelling, insight-led thought leadership content which would help position Verizon as an expert in this domain.

Our approach

As always, we sat down at the beginning of the project to hash out the key objectives for the research. Firstly, we needed to understand business attitudes, challenges and expectations towards mobile security, to ensure the content was both topical and valuable.

We also understood that opinion in the industry had changed since 2017 and so tracking this change would provide an excellent foundation on which to build the content.

Finally, and most importantly, we needed to fuel powerful thought leadership for Verizon. This was the ultimate reason for the project and, as such, we needed to ensure all activity pushed us closer to this goal.

When it came down to the nitty-gritty, we conducted 671 online interviews (lasting a maximum of 15 minutes) via a specialist B2B panel. The target audience were senior US professionals responsible for the procurement, management and/or security of mobile devices for their business, working across a range of industries. This way we could get a view of the industry as a whole and avoid any sector biases.

This all culminated in a whitepaper, written by Gloo Communications and data checked by Savanta.

The outcome

The impact of the report speaks for itself, generating 11k site visits and 1.5k downloads last year. In little over two weeks, the latest version achieved 9k visits and 3k downloads, alongside press features in CSO and Channel Partners publications.
