Survey of 2,031 adults in Britain about overspending on food at Christmas
- Half (50%) of the British population say they feel they usually overspend on food at Christmas
- People in North East England are most likely to say they feel they usually overspend (66%) and people in Wales are least likely (43%)
- From a list provided, people are most likely to say Brussels sprouts (15%) go to waste, followed by cranberry sauce (12%)

Methodology
ComRes surveyed 2,031 British adults online between 24th and 26th November 2017. Data were weighted by age, gender, region and socio-economic grade to be representative of all adults in Great Britain aged 18+. ComRes is a member of the British Polling Council and abides by its rules.
