A survey of British adults on behalf of Be Reasonable on smacking.
- Around three quarters (77%) of British adults say that it should be the role of parents and guardians to decide whether or not to smack their children, as opposed to one in seven (14%) who say that is should be the role of the government.

Methodology
ComRes interviewed 1,019 GB adults online between 13th and 25th January 2017. Data were weighted by age, gender, region and socio-economic grade to be demographically representative of all GB adults.
