Cycling UK – Women’s Festival of Cycling Research (Part 2)

A survey of British adults around cycling experiences.

  • Only half of British adults correctly state that the Highway Code recommendation for overtaking a cyclist in a car is to leave as much space as you would a car (48%).
  • The other half incorrectly say the space should be as wide as a cyclist’s handlebars (8%) or the width of a motor vehicle (30%) or say they don’t know what the correct amount of space is (15%).
