BBC English Regions Miracles Poll

A survey of GB adults’ opinions on miracles

  • Almost half of British adults say they do not believe that Jesus performed any miracles, and only one in ten say they believe they happened word for word as described in the Bible
  • 37 per cent of people who say they attend religious services at least monthly say they believe the miracles of Jesus happened as described in the Bible, and half say they have prayed for a miracle, and prayer was answered in the way they hoped
