3 learnings from our work with Deliveroo

Savanta is helping Deliveroo embrace the opportunity for tech-driven disintermediated research, demonstrating how to drive better decision making by connecting the brand’s research and operational data.

Our aim is to give insight managers the information (data and interpretation) they need to support board-level decisions.

Based on our ongoing work with the Insight team at Deliveroo here are three key takeaways…

1. Often the client knows best… the disintermediation of data, sending it directly via an API, allows Deliveroo almost instant access to their research. This enables Deliveroo to contextually interpret the data, on their own terms, allowing them to pick up on insight in real-time.

2. Giving insight managers a seat at the table… in line with this way of working, the session also highlighted a potential shift in the researcher’s role, where less time is spent on the process of producing research. Less time spent on reporting allows Savanta more time to support and act as a day-to-day consultant; helping Deliveroo interpret and understand the things that matter to them most. Our aim is to give insight managers the information (data and interpretation) they need to support board-level decisions.

3. The growing role of technology in research… finally the project highlighted Savanta’s tech capabilities and gave insight into the work which sits behind the API. ‘Big Data’ has been a hot topic over the past few years, and as a research agency, there is a need to respond to this trend with innovative tools and ways of working.

Recent investment into our systems and expertise, means our 25-strong tech team are well equipped to build and manage the API which links Savanta and Deliveroo’s systems, and will continue to play an integral part in projects moving forward. We look forward to further practising these exciting ways of working with Deliveroo and other clients in the future.
