A survey of the GB adults on local transport and housing infrastructure.
- Most British adults (59%) say that local road, rail and bus networks allow them to travel effectively, though only 13% strongly agree with this statement. Adults living in Scotland and London are considerably more favourable with regards to local transport (road, rail and bus) networks.
- Two in five British adults (39%) agree that less investment in new road and rail capacity should be given to areas that choose to build fewer houses.
- Seven in ten (70%) say they are more likely to support new housing in their area if there is a clear plan to improve transport links.
- In terms of who British adults think is best placed in their area to develop plans to improve transport networks, the highest proportion cite (28%) cite local authorities followed by national government and regional leaders (18% and 16% respectively).

Methodology
ComRes surveyed 2,022 GB adults online between 27th and 28th June 2018. Data were weighted to be demographically representative of all GB adults. ComRes is a member of the British Polling Council and abides by its rules.
