It wouldn’t be a 2020 report without a mention of delivery...

As part of our BrandVue series of the Top 100 most-loved brands in different sectors, we’ve used BrandVue Eating Out data to determine which brands have captured the hearts of diners across the UK.

The report shows how brand ‘love’ differs across dining categories, regions, and age groups, comparing this to other key brand metrics such as monthly frequency. We also show how brands perform across key categories, including pubs & bars, restaurants, coffee shops & cafés, quick service, fast casual, and delivery.

Our ‘Brand Spotlights’ take a deep dive into some of the brands which have performed well, despite the challenges faced by the industry in 2020, as well as some of those whose failure to adapt has seen them fall on last years’ Top 100.

We also look at some new entrants to the Top 100 such as German Doner Kebab (13th) and Cosmo (15th), who have thrived during these uncertain times and find themselves ranked among the top 20 Most Loved Eating Out Brands 2020.

It wouldn’t be a 2020 report without a mention of delivery, and the report highlights just how much delivery has remained a constant through the ebbs and flows of the pandemic, at the cost of both eating out, and takeaway.
